Good luck with that Leo, you're going to need a lot more sponsors to get one! LOL :)

Wow I will need to get my order on that one thanks for the update Leo. From an ex Santa Rosa guy.
Mike
Is that a Red Scarlet? I know Leo's crazy about 4K.
Jack Zhang
Nice. Red camera systems are pretty sweet. I have shot 4K with Red One and the footage was stunning. The hardest part was down rezzing all your footage to HD. A 4K netcast of Twit would be nice, but we are a long way from that, given how compressed todays HD is by the time it reaches the consumer.
Aaron Star
Haha! 3D? Only will be worth watching for Sports! ;p. I get too dizzy watching fast motion 3D flying across the screen. I prefer a good 2D HDTV.
Love all your TWiT streaming from CES!

Is it just me, or the more we go forward, the more like the originals things look? http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3342/3431580884_d5d23faaf6.jpg

Scarletttt! I sure hope this comes out soon, did they announce a release date yet? The video is going to be amazing for price.

@Jack and Aaron

I thought the Red Scarlet was only 3k and not 4k

Via Engadget."The resulting cam shoots 3k REDCODE RAW video at 120fps (150fps burst mode) and scaled 720p or 1080p recording at 60fps. "

Awesome. Dr. Kiki in 4K would be hot.

The Epic is 5k and will shoot 100fps, they are supposed to be coming out with a 5k scarlet later in the year but it will most likely be limited to 60fps or something.

Yeah I remember the Scarlet was less resolution. I think its a new image sensor too and not the mysterium. I was referencing all the 4k talk I have seen on Twit and the Red One.

Red Scarlet with Bomb EVF!!! If anyone can help me get my hands on one of these for my next production (this summer), I would be forever grateful.

I think that's the one they used to use to take pictures of Lincoln.

Way cool!

The biggest failure with RED is their ability to deliver. We ordered a Red One for the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication at High Point University over half a year ago. We are still waiting on the Viewfinder and Hard Drive.
Don Moore
AOL will pinch a brick just thinking about streaming Leo's 4k shows!
Mark chauvin
Well, Don, at least your school of communication can afford a RED One. I'd say you guys are pretty lucky in that regard.
Anthony Thompson
4K is a waste to shoot Twit in. Even 1080p HD is a waste. ED is more than enough for webcasts. Leo has his setup pretty solid, he'd never be silly and waste money on a red camera.
timgray
I'm sure TWIT is looking to the future. I can see them going with the HD TriCaster.
woodyfowler
eeewwww. There are SOOO many better choices!
